Mallorca Farmhouses recommends car hire with all farmhouses and villas for the simple reason that most of them are in rural, quiet locations and to reach them a hire car is simply essential. Furthermore, a hire car will allow you to reach the best beaches and restaurants we recommend in our property booklets. For our apartments we offer the flexibility of a hire car to explore the island or a return taxi transfer and all hotels may be booked accommodation only if required.

Baby carriers (0-9 kg), Child Seats (9-18 kg) and Booster Seats (18+ kg) are available in all models and are supplied by Play. These are of course all weight dependent and are supplied brand new at the start of each season. Baby carriers are rear facing while child and booster seats front facing and all are fitted to your hire car prior to your arrival. All sizes cost £28 / €28 each per week.

Groups F, L and M can all accommodate up to three child seats each if required.

Roof Racks cost £28 / €28 each per week and are available as an upgrade on Group B cars only. They are included on Group C cars.
Delivery Service:
If you don't require the car at the airport, we will collect you by private transfer from Palma Airport taking you to your chosen accommodation and then Car Hire deliver your hire car directly to your villa. We will also collect this upon your return if required. This service is available all over the island during the hours 0800-2100hrs at a supplement of £62.50 / €62.50 per car each way in addition to the taxi cost. Taxi transfers prices are return, for one way simply deduct 50%. Please note that it is not possible to book child seats in any taxis in Mallorca.

Additional Information:

You will be asked to pay for the parking ticket to exit the car park, which costs approximately €1.50 - €6.00. This may be paid for either by cash or credit/debit card in the machines located just outside the car park on the ground floor.

You will be provided with a road map, a copy of your contract and an envelope in which to return the keys. Out Of Hours Collection at Palma Airport, Son San Joan, is between the hours 2200hrs – 0800hrs when an additional charge of €34.50 is incurred. This is payable directly in resort to one of Roig’s car hire representatives.

Please note that your hire car must be returned at the same time or earlier as collection, otherwise an additional days’ car hire fee will be incurred.

Fuel for your hire vehicle can be Pre-Paid prior to your arrival, or it can be paid upon collection. Fuel charges are based on ¾ of a tank for rental periods of 7 days or less, and a Full Tank for 8 days or more. Prices are as follows: Group B & C Cars ¾ Tank £40, Full Tank £50. Groups M & N ¾ Tank £70, Full Tank £90. All other Groups ¾ Tank £50, Full Tank £70.
Restrictions

All drivers must be over 21 years old with at least two years driving experience.

Drivers for models on request must be over 25 years with at least four years driving experience.

There is no maximum age limit to hire any of the models.

Up to a maximum of nine points on your driving licence is acceptable.

Please remember to bring your driving licence – no licence no car. The new photo card will suffice but if you do have the paper copy as well please bring this with you.
Important Safety Information

When reserving your hire car you are kindly reminded that overloading of any vehicles invalidates your insurance cover and we are unable to accept your reservation should maximum occupancy be exceeded. All infants and young children must have a baby or child seat fitted, either provided by Mallorca Farmhouses or you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

It is illegal to drive using your mobile phone and local police strictly impose fines of €300-€400, as well as potential on the spot demands for payment depending on the severity of the situation. We therefore strongly recommend that you do not drive at any time with your mobile phone on.
Complimentary Advance Registration
We pre-register all of your driving licence details to help speed up your collection time at the airport so you can begin to enjoy your holiday as soon as possible. All you have to do is pick up the keys, sign the contract, collect your car and drive away. The details we will request per driver are:

Car hire/extras can be changed up to seven days prior to departure subject to availability. Your booking will incur an administration fee of £25 / €25 for any changes made within seven days of departure.
