Our Guide to Felanitx > Beaches

s'Amarador

S'Amarador is an unspoilt and well preserved beach. The beach is surrounded by pine trees and offers a magnificent view over the sea. The beach has fine-grained sand with a bright, white colour. The water is beautiful – a deep turquoise and crystal clear.

You can leave your car for free on a big parking area about five minutes from the beach. The beach can be reached on foot from Cala Mondrago, 400 metres along the coastline.

This beach is perfect for families with children, space for playing and very shallow water. There are no water sports so the beach is quiet and peaceful. There is one bar on the beach, and there are toilet facilities.

Cala Mondragó

The secluded resort of Cala Mondrago is situated approx. 8 kilometres south of Cala d’Or. Cala Mondrago is a lovely sandy beach, which is situated in the middle of two rocky headlands. The water is light blue and crystal clear. The beach can become quite busy during summer weekends. If too busy, you can head for the neighbouring beach of s'Amarador, only a 400 metres along the beautiful coastline. You can leave your car for free on a parking area close to the beach.

The beach is child friendly. Fine white sand and shallow water. Pedal boats are available for hire and the sea is perfect for snorkelling. There are two restaurants and two beach bars on the beach and there are toilet facilities.

Es Caragol

This is a stunning, remote beach, that only be reached on foot. You need to drive to El Faro de Ses Salines (the lighthouse), park up, head out to the coast and turn right, so the sea is on your left. It is a lovely walk in and of itself, and will take you 20-30 minutes to reach the gorgeous beach at Es Caragol. There are no facilities at the beach, so bring everything you need. It is great during the day, but also a great spot for a sunset picnic.

Es Trenc

Es Trenc is a fabulous beach, almost 3km in length. The water is a beautiful blue and remains shallow for a long way out. There is ample parking at this beach in the main car park. If you are looking to dine at the main restaurant at the beach, Es Trenc Restaurant, you can park in their private car park; admission is €20, however this can be offset against your lunch bill. We highly recommend the Tortilla Española. There are also two beach bars that are perfect for a cold drink, icecreams, and simple food and snacks. There are toilet facilities at the beach.

Caló des Moro

Caló des Moro is situated 6 kilometres from Santanyi between high cliffs populated by pines on both sides of the sandy beach. The water is crystal clear and the beautiful surroundings makes it perfect for a swim. The high cliffs give shelter from the sun, so perfect when the temperatures are high. The sun can disappear behind the cliffs earlier on in the afternoon, so if you’re a sun worshipper, you’re better off arriving early.

Caló des Moro beach is only 30 metres long and 10-20 metres deep, so it can get busy during the summer, especially during the weekends, so limited space for children to play.

The gentle slope of the beach and the fairly shallow water make it an excellent bay for snorkelling. There are no beach restaurants or toilet facilities.
